Lost photos of 2012

As 2012 comes to an end, I'd like to say congrats because we're still alive! Hah, okay. But anyways, I'd just like say that I've learned so much this year on how to be a better blogger and how amazing it is to get to know other bloggers. So watch out for me in 2013. (I sat quietly and observed, now I'm going to execute what I've learned!)

It sure has been a busy year for me and I haven't been able to post as much as I'd like to. So here is a quick mash-up of the things that happened during 2012! Enjoy lost photos that I never got around posting on The Deathly Fashion (including a photo spam of pictures from Cambodia at the end):

Got me a car, yo.

Shoe Sunday

I'm back y'all and with posts weekly! I had this segment I always wanted to do which was Shoe Sunday, where every Sunday I dedicate a post to shoes because, let's get real, who doesn't love shoes?! So here are my picks for this week:

The theme for these picks was for all occasions during the holiday season.

1. Julia Cap Top Flat from Tibi.com - These are a perfect pair of flats to classy-up any outfit. The gold at the toe-cap really makes all the difference, and I love the bright red color (perfect for the holiday season)! This would definitely tie together a look for school with skinnies, a striped tee, and an anorak with a fur-lined hood.

2. DV by Dolce Vita Joli Bootie - Oh how I've obsessed over these since they came out just a few months ago! These would be the perfect boots if you're living a life on the go. The lace-up style and the cut of the boot are great (I actually tried these on and they are amazing), plus the heel height is perfect for a little lift and comfort.

3. Studded Pointy Flats from Topshop - Aren't these darling? I think that anything t-strapped and pointy on a shoe automatically feminizes them but the studs give it the edge that every girl needs. Wear these to a small holiday get-together with your favorite skater dress and rockin' arm candy; and since these flats are in a neutral color it will give you more options about what to wear with it!

4. Givenchy Leather Wedge Knee Boots - OK, let's talk about these babies right here. The first person I saw wear these was the always wonderful Sandra Hagelstam from 5 Inch and Up. Of course her being one of my favorite bloggers ever, I was automatically inspired to love these. And I really do, how sleek are these? The fact that the leather covers the wedge but not fully, it gives a new dynamic to layers on shoes. Most likely, I'd wear this with anything. Done.

Hope you enjoyed, until then, have a great holiday!

Is it really the end of the world?

Well if it was, I guess it would be okay since all the Harry Potter movies have already been released. Kidding. Now, I know there is a lot of mixed opinions about other people's opinion on the world ending tomorrow, but to lighten the mood here's a look of  one of my favorite labels: Badgley Mischka, whom have taken inspo from the Aztec and Mayan art. (Perfect, right?) Isn't that ironic and charming and everything in between? I don't know how to explain it.

Mark Badgley and James Mischka are no strangers to well crafted gowns and for their pre-fall 2013 collection (which just came out two days ago) I was surprised and filled with a feeling of happiness and shock when I found out their inspiration. So let's take a look...

Can't you feel an epic story of good against evil fighting for who will be sacrificed to the rain gods?

Mark and James have really done well at executing a vibe of Aztec and Mayan artwork into gowns that scream award season.  As for the fits, I'm all for form fitting, but the boxy/straight red gown is growing on me. And the gold patterns are the perfect touch of elegance. They've done it again.

Hope you enjoyed this short little post to not waste your time before the world ends. Until then, have a happy holiday!

There and back

Chambray - Nordstrom// Jeans - Vigoss// Shoes - Marant Knock-offs via eBay// Headband - Nordstrom// Watch - Betsey Johnson

It sure has been a busy month! Obviously you can tell since I was absent all of November. The lowdown: Key Club Fall Rally + a million other things during my birthday weekend (I'm finally 17!), the overwhelming amount of Othello reading and everything in between. November was satisfactory and hardworking as college applications are sent in. *applause, applause* YES. Seniors, we're done for now. Time to push for that 4.0 (or higher) then party at prom! Now I am back, this time forever. It just seems like the first couple of months in school are always the hardest. (No worries, I've been taking note of all of fashion month

I feel like this denim on denim layer process is a classic now. So with the never growing budget in my bank account I finally was able to pick out a perfect denim chambray that will last me for years. The importance is it being staple - quality over that quantity ya know?? And those knock-off Marants.. don't worry about that; I just kinda wear them everyday.

Enjoy the week all!

P.S. Who is excited about the Hobbit coming out this month?! I am! Happy Holidays!

xoxo
